Sintered porous metal plates and discs
Sintered porous plates and discs distribute flow across a defined surface and can also retain particles when the selected pore structure and acceptance method suit the process. The shape, thickness, free span, edge fixing and support grid determine the mechanical design and usable filtering area. Material selection should account for the fluid, cleaning chemicals and temperature cycle. The plate table separates these geometry questions from reference powder-media grades. External-pressure tests on tubular elements in the media table do not establish an allowable pressure difference for a plate. Confirm the supported assembly, required flow uniformity and inspection method against the equipment drawing.

Sintered porous stainless steel plates
Flat porous metal media can be incorporated into supported filtration components. Plate thickness, unsupported span and edge fastening must be considered together. The plate dimensions below describe a product-family range; the required finished shape and tolerances should be stated on the drawing.

| Material (model) | Size | Thickness, mm | Rating range, µm | Max. media temperature (air) | Allowable ΔP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Titanium Gr1 (YS-PP-TI) | Ø 2–500 mm; up to 500 × 800 mm | 0.5–3 | 0.5–50 | 280 °C | by design |
| 316L (YS-PP-SS) | up to 400 × 1000 mm | 0.5–3 (thicker by design) | 1–80 | 400 °C | by design |
| Alloy 400 (YS-PP-400) | up to 400 × 1000 mm | 1–3 | 10 / 20 / 40 | 500 °C | by design |
| Alloy 600 (YS-PP-600) | up to 400 × 1000 mm | 1–3 | 10 / 20 / 40 | 800 °C | by design |
Allowable ΔP depends on free span, thickness and support grid and is confirmed per design. Temperatures are limits of the porous material.

Rating at 98 % / 99.9 %: particle size retained in liquid at that efficiency. Compressive strength is an external-pressure (collapse) test value of tubular elements, not a working differential pressure; larger diameters and thinner walls give lower values. Porosity approx. 18–50 % depending on grade and forming method. “—” = not published, confirmed per order.
