Custom sintered metal filter elements from your drawing

Bring your drawing, installation requirements and operating conditions. Define the element around your process, with feasibility, configuration and verification reviewed before a proposal is confirmed.

Metal mesh, porous powder and pleated metal filter structures on a pale blue field

What can be defined for your element?

These are specification topics to review for a particular inquiry. The available configuration depends on the selected material, construction, application and supply confirmation.

Filter medium
Compare sintered wire mesh, porous metal powder and metal fiber structures against the separation application, contaminant load and cleaning strategy.
Alloy and material condition
State the required alloy designation and process chemistry. Material availability, joining compatibility and any material documentation belong in the review.
Shape and working geometry
Define an element, tube, disc or other required geometry by a controlled drawing. Specify the active filtering area, envelope and critical dimensions where known.
Connections and sealing
Describe end fittings, mounting faces, threads or flanges, seal seats and mating parts. Include interface drawings and the required sealing arrangement.
Support and flow direction
Identify the normal filtration direction, any reverse-flow cleaning, support arrangement and pressure difference across the element. Review these as a complete assembly.
Filtration target and test basis
Describe the separation result you need, particle size and efficiency basis where specified. Agree how any retention rating, permeability or integrity criterion will be verified.
Cleaning and service conditions
Provide the planned cleaning chemistry, temperature, duration and reverse-pressure conditions. Reuse, thermal cycles or steam exposure require a defined evaluation basis.
Acceptance and order scope
Discuss drawing approval, identification, documents, sample evaluation if required, quantity and delivery destination. Inspection scope and supply timing are confirmed for the proposal.

Start with the information you have

A complete specification is not needed for the first inquiry. Mark estimates and leave unknown technical values open for discussion.

The task and installation
What must be separated? Where will the element be installed? Add a drawing, photograph or existing part reference if available.
The known process conditions
Name the fluid or gas, key contaminants and any known flow, temperature or pressure. Include units and distinguish operating values from design limits.
The project context
Provide your work email, delivery country and requirement. An estimated quantity, sample requirement and target schedule help define the next review.

Technical details for the next review

Medium and contamination
Composition, concentrations, viscosity where relevant, particle character and expected solids loading.
Flow and temperature
Normal and limiting conditions, units and, for gas flow, the stated reference temperature and pressure.
Pressure and regeneration
Operating pressure with gauge or absolute basis; allowed forward and reverse differential pressure; cleaning sequence.
Dimensions and interfaces
Overall envelope, active length, end connections, seal material requirement, mounting details and mating-part information.
Service environment
Chemical exposure, thermal cycles, cleaning agents, steam or sterilization conditions and applicable process requirements.
Verification and records
Required separation test basis, dimensional checks, material records, traceability and any sample acceptance plan.

Replacing an existing filter element: what to send

An existing drawing can establish the installation envelope and interfaces. For a new design, a dimensioned sketch and process description are a useful starting point.

Open drawing inquiry
Identify the document
Include the drawing number, revision, units and a clear distinction between required dimensions and reference dimensions.
Show the critical interfaces
Mark seal seats, mating faces, connections, installation clearances and critical dimensions or tolerances that are actually required.
Add the functional requirement
State the flow direction, filtration objective and relevant operating or cleaning conditions. Identify the specification or acceptance method where one applies.

The inquiry form accepts one PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 8 MB. Export a CAD drawing as PDF; combine related drawing sheets and notes into one PDF when needed. Attachments are stored privately.

How a custom sintered filter inquiry works

Each stage establishes what is known, what needs confirmation and what should be agreed before the next step.

  1. Describe the application

Share the process, installation information, drawing or existing part reference. Identify missing values rather than estimating them as facts.

To agreeA clear inquiry brief and a list of open technical questions.

  2. Review feasibility and options

Compare candidate media, material, geometry and connections against the application. Establish which configurations and evidence can be offered.

To agreeA proposed configuration with the remaining technical and supply confirmations identified.

  3. Agree the drawing and test basis

Review the controlled drawing, operating envelope, separation target, documentation and acceptance criteria.

To agreeAn agreed specification and a defined verification scope for the proposal.

  4. Evaluate a sample, if agreed

Where sampling is part of the project, agree the sample scope, evaluation conditions, responsibilities and review of results.

To agreeRecorded findings and any agreed drawing or specification revisions.

  5. Confirm the order and delivery scope

Confirm quantities, identification, inspection records, commercial terms and delivery conditions against the agreed specification.

To agreeA documented order scope. Any later technical change returns to the specification review.

Agree the acceptance basis for the complete element

Material availability, dimensional tolerances, filtration performance, cleaning method and service limits require confirmation for the actual configuration. A nominal media grade or a matching catalog dimension alone does not establish suitability or interchangeability.

  • Link each requested performance value to its test method, conditions and acceptance criterion.
  • Review mounting, sealing, support and flow direction together with the filter medium.
  • Record the approved drawing revision, inspection scope and documents in the agreed order.

Bring your drawing. Define the next step

Start with your requirement and the information available. Use the inquiry to separate confirmed conditions from the questions still to resolve.
